Airdate: A Friend of the Family

US true crime drama about a family fractured by a kidnapping features Anna Paquin, Colin Hanks and Jake Lacy.

US true crime drama series, A Friend of the Family, currently available on 7plus, will also get a late night run on Seven.

Based on the harrowing true story of the Broberg family, the nine-part drama explores how one family’s lives were forever altered and their resilience tested when faced with the unimaginable.

The cast features Anna Paquin (Flack, The Irishman, True Blood) and  Jake Lacy (The White Lotus, Being the Ricardos), Colin Hanks (The Offer, Impeachment: American Crime Story) and Mckenna Grace (Ghostbusters: AfterlifeThe Handmaid’s Tale).

Lio Tipton (The Edge of SleepWhy Women Kill), Hendrix Yancey (George & Tammy, Unbelievable), Austin Stowell (The Hating Game, Three Women), Patrick Fischler (American Crime Story: Impeachment, The Right Stuff), Bree Elrod (Red Rocket) and Philip Ettinger (First Reformed, Angelyne) also star.

11:20pm Tuesday on Seven.

  1. 7 obviously have little faith in it, putting it on so late for a 1st run thing close to the end of the ratings year. The series on before it, ‘The Endgame’, is a failed 1 season knock off of ‘The Blacklist’ that lasted 10 eps-would have thought it that would have been the one shown late or in Summer non ratings.
