  1. Watched the amazing race then ride like a girl. Forgotten how good a movie that was and the ups and downs the Payne family went through. Oh and also how good Sam Neill is in it

  2. In relation to ABC News Breakfast, is it just me who thinks that program has gone very soft and cookie cutter lately, far less news and more filler celebrity interviews/movie previews/other nonsense? It’s as if the ABC are going after a commercial audience, why the show at times feels like a clone of Sunrise or Today without the ads and product placements.
The ratings for the Drum are mediocre, but I suppose it’s cheap to produce and the ABC probably haven’t got anything else on hand to stick in that 6PM-7PM timeslot.
As for Big Brother, it’ll be on Seven Mate in a couple of weeks, safe prediction!

  3. I am intrigued by the dip in numbers for News Breakfast, I must admit I am put off by the rotating hosts as they rarely have the full team and have flicked over to Sunrise at times.
Like other comments on this post, I think Shirvo is too much of the cookie-cutter host factory from what I’ve seen … much like Chris Brown. Nat is the seasoned journo but can also be light-hearted, Kochie was always up to ask a tough question but also played the ‘daggy dad’ role well. What does Shirvo stand for?

  4. Even though I have been a Sunrise viewer for years I tip Today to often win now. Shirvo is great but not a Karl or Kochie. Sunrise needs a big shake up now. Nat is good but needs a stronger co host. Move Barrett’s on now and have Shirvo for sport and find a new host. Today has always had good content but have found Karl annoying but works good with Sarah.

      1. Well I had never met any of those people so I wouldn’t feel the same (except for Olivia because she always seemed so lovely). I am not sure of your point about my feelings? BTW I still enjoyed the Hard Quiz episode as usual, the memories were nice but sad.

      1. I feel like I am on twitter. I never said I didn’t like the episode or that it was distasteful or anything near it. I enjoyed the show but was sad thinking of how much Warnie is missed. The end!
