Dukes of Hazzard stars reunite

Original stars even tease the potential for a reboot of 1980s action series.

The Dukes of Hazzard stars reunited at Gallatin Comic Con 2023 in Tennessee this past weekend

In attendance were John Schneider (Bo Duke), Tom Wopat (Luke Duke), and Catherine Bach (Daisy Duke) along with castmates Byron Cherry (Coy Duke), Jeff Altman (Hughie Hogg), and Rick Hurst (Deputy Cletus Hogg).

Bach and Schneider spoke with Fox News Digital at the event and even teased the potential for a reboot.

“As far as a Dukes reunion,” Bach, 69, teased, “anything is possible.”

“I would make the case that the fans have kept the show alive all this time, and it’s very much appreciated by the cast,” Wopat, 72, said. “God bless them.”

The original show debuted in 1979 and ran for 146 episodes to 1985. The cast did a reunion TV movie in 1997, and followed it with another TV movie in 2000, The Dukes of Hazzard: Hazzard in Hollywood.

The series then got a big-screen adaptation in 2005 that starred Seann William Scott, Johnny Knoxville, and Jessica Simpson.

“It was so great reconnecting with my castmates from The Dukes of Hazzard,” Schneider, 63, added. “I don’t know how to explain it, but we have been closer than Bo, Luke, and Daisy since the moment we met.”

  1. Noooo…leave well enough alone…especially the General Lee..besides no on could play Boss Hogg as good Sorrell Booke..nor could I imagine any one singing on it like Buck Owens, Tammy Wynette or Freddy Fender…who could narrate it better than Waylon Jennings? This is one of those original shows that should just be left to enjoy reruns…over and over.
