Ambulance UK returns to 10 and in Season 9 turns its cameras to the North East Ambulance Service, which covers a population of over 2.7 million.

This premiered in the UK in August 2022.

As crews start their 12-hour shift, a call comes in for a patient with chest pain. Paramedics, Sophie and Jack, are immediately dispatched and they find that the patient and his family are refugees from Iraq and arrived on UK shores by boat just 17 days ago.

The shift takes a dramatic turn when crewmates go to the aid of a schoolboy hit by a motorcycle, plus a call is received from a social worker who is concerned about the welfare of a male patient who is unwell and hasn’t eaten for three days.

  2. I find this an enjoyable show given its premise but why so long the wait if you had to wait that long for an actual ambulance 🚑 you’d be dead.
