Action series Warrior, based on a writings by Bruce Lee, has been axed after 3 seasons by HBO’s Max.
The series starring Andrew Koji, Olivia Cheng and Jason Tobin, is set during the late 19th century Tong Wars in San Francisco’s Chinatown.
It was one of the few Asian ensembles on US television. The show originally ran on linear cabler Cinemax (starting in 2019), and was revived after a fan base campaign.
Warrior screened in Australia on FOX8.

Shame – I feel the writers/actors strike have a lot to answer for
The impression was given that Warrior was heading for a concluding final season 4. I wouldn’t have minded another season, the main characters had matured, even if the story was becoming generic, but that happens with martial arts action genres.
Excellent series, but the ending to series 3 didn’t really leave it any where to go, it felt it was the end of the story.
