It started out as Acceptable Risk staring Elaine Cassidy on RTE, about the murder of global pharmaceutical PR agent. After was cancelled it was picked up by Acorn and made an Irish/Belgian production about smuggling in Belgian ports, starring Angela Ball (pictured) who played an Irish detective in the original. Ball didn’t return for S2 so Nora-Jane Noone now plays the lead detective. SBS owns the rights here and put S2 up on On Demand after it aired in Europe in Sept. In S2, The shipping magnate/smuggler from S1 is seeking now turning informant on the terrorists to avoid jail. It’s OK but nothing special, though there is little else likely to be on over Summer. Nine has dumped Monday’s Queens of Mystery for their annual Summer Bond Fest.
