  1. Y ay Yay Yay Beyond ecstatic that Call the Midwife ep 2 (when Shelagh and Patrick Finally married), rated 3.!!! 3!!!.and receiving 83,000 viewers. And it rated 3 amongst the Opening of the 2024 Oz Tennis Open to boot. (interestingly 72 chose to skip from s2 ep8, to s3 ep 1 and not screen the 2013 Chrissy Special ie Shelagh and Patricks wedding. Also interestingly s3 Chrissy Special ep 1 rated 18. So people here have been waiting to see Shelagh Patrick marry. Just as many (if not More) are waiting for s12 to screen here on free to air tv, so then we get s13. Call the Midwife usually rates Top 5-10. (albeit new(ish) eps and on ch 2/abc). Thank you 72 for finally broadcasting s3 Christmas Special. Now we need s4 Christmas Special. (Season 13 ep 2 is shown in UK in few hours).

  2. Nine did show the Madam Secretary episode, scheduled to air 10pm, which was pushed back to 11pm and probably aired around 2am after the 2nd last tennis match finished. And there were 66,000 people who said ah stuff it, no point in sleeping now going to push on through. I should have a copy.

  3. Ratings a little lower than expected for the Tennis but as usual the later rounds will grow especially if there is a story or hook that can be attached to the competitors.

    Total Control on the ABC must be reckoned a failure as this will not get any IView views.’

    Overall a fairly low key evening but Gladiators may change the mix a little.

    2. First year that the Australian Open has started on a Sunday would’ve caught a few off guard. Also they had less matches on and the day session didn’t have many big players (Sinner being the biggest) on hand unless people wanted to watch Australians.

      Night session was much better with Djokovic, Sabalenka, Wozniacki and Tiafoe.
