FOX network picks up The Quiz with Balls

US quiz show recently filmed in Melbourne is produced by Eureka and Talpa Productions.

Splashy new quiz show The Quiz with Balls, which recently filmed in Melbourne, has been picked up by FOX in the USA.

The show by Eureka Productions (The Amazing Race, Farmer wants a Wife, Holey Moley, Stars from Mars) and Talpa Studios is based on a Dutch format where contestants standing on a platform are knocked into a pool for incorrect answers.

It is hosted by an American comedian and offers a $100,000 prize.

This follows the continued success of Eureka / Talpa’s The Floor, hosted by Rob Lowe, which launched  in January as FOX’s most streamed gameshow debut on record.

Anthony Carbone is showrunner with executive producers John de Mol, Maarten Meijs, Chris Culvenor, Paul Franklin, Wes Dening, John Leahy.

  1. I was in the audience for the taping of one show. It’s amazing that it is cost effective for producers to bring out a hundred contestants, a host and dozens of crew from the US to make a show in Melbourne. There must be a big subsidy from at least one level of government in Australia.
