Matildas: Olympic Qualifiers

10 set to screen two Qualifiers as the Matildas pursue their Olympic dream.

10 and Paramount+ will screen the Matildas in their AFC Women’s Olympic Football Tournament Paris 2024 Asian Qualifiers Round 3 matches against world number 47 Uzbekistan on February 24.

The ‘Tillies’ then return to Australia for the second leg on Wednesday, 28 February, live from 7.30pm AEDT.

The victor of the series will book their place at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The series will see Liberty A-League women’s Golden Boot leader Michelle Heyman (Canberra United FC) return to the national team after a six-year absence, with fellow A-League star Chloe Logarzo (Western United) also earning a recall to the CommBank Matildas squad. Arsenal FC gun Steph Catley will captain the squad for the series, in the absence of injured captain Sam Kerr.

Paramount Australia’s team of football experts will bring viewers the latest news and preview the big series in a special Matildas Magazine Show on Thursday, 22 February live at 10.30pm on 10 Bold and 10 Play. On opening match day, our experts will bring all the team news and interviews in the extended pre-match coverage as we build up to the exciting must win series.

  1. I know that the Uzbekistan-Matildas game is being scheduled at Docklands, but why they didnt want to play at the MCG. Taylor Swift will play 3 shows at the MCG next week before moving to Sydney. after Taylor Swift plays her final show at the MCG, the ground staff will clean up the stadium. MCG is vacant between 24-28 February. The AFL goal posts will be put up just in time for the start of the AFL season (7 March 2024).
