A fourth season of New Zealand murder mystery My Life Is Murder has been sold by distributor DCD Rights to a raft of territories at the London Screenings.
A new season starring Lucy Lawless (Top Of The Lake, Spartacus, Xena: Warrior Princess) has been secured by YLE Finland, TV2 Denmark, Quebecor Content Canada, Yes-DBS Israel, ProFour Media Distribution for Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia, and NBCUniversal International Networks & Direct-To-Consumer for Universal TV in Africa, 13ÈME RUE in France and CALLE 13 Spain.
The series by Greenstone Pictures MLIM Production screens in Australia on Acorn TV and Network 10.
Rick Barker, Head of Sales DCD Rights comments, “Lucy Lawless’ ability to deliver both comedy and drama in equal measure is one of the highlights of this classic murder mystery series. And, of course, the incredible New Zealand setting is a matchless character too. We are very pleased to see our global phenomenon – My Life Is Murder – continue to have strong appeal with international broadcasters with series 1-4 selling to 90 territories and we very much look forward to screening this new series to buyers in London in February.”
Season one has also recently been acquired by AXN Mystery Channel Japan.

Murder by the numbers.
Yay! It’s my favourite mystery murder show. It got even better when it moved to Auckland. Now we finally get to know who Alexa is as she returns to her childhood hometown, reunites with old friends, and encounters her brother.
I only liked this show when it was filmed in Melbourne, hopefuly if this show ever ends the final season will return to melbourne
No-the whole point of moving to Un Zud is that it’s much cheaper to make there and still counts towards ‘local’ content requirements for 10.
It did move during pandemic and stayed there. 10 no longer funds, while Acorn TV does now.
Can Ch. 10 move this to Paramount+ permanently, due to when they premiered the previous 3 seasons on FTA, it aired in 8:30 or 9:30pm one week & then bumped to 10:30pm a week later.
