Seven’s 16-39 (everything) and bvod (everything) shares… ouch! That is not good. Do not let total people fool anyone, Seven’s are inflated by older viewers and regional, plus news. Nine absolutely crushing everything and in perspective 10 doing quite well in areas too. Let 2024 properly begin :)
This new ratings system is beyond ridiculous. Its Not moving forward — its moving backward. The former way was way more preferable than what it is now. 7two have been pushing hard promoting Vera, relegating Call the Midwife to 10.40, and now theres no promo whatsoever, not even a ‘Next up”. Vera isnt even in the Top 30 with the new system. Good. And yet still 7two still promote Mystery Nights Mon-Thurs. Vera is a police show. Why stir the hornets nest by moving Midwife?? 7two are lying to the viewers. Also Im a member now of Midwife Facebook Messageboard. If 7two dont think Midwife is still popular, it should read it. Quite a few Aussies are on it and watch the show, including 7two and abc. (and the streaming services just to watch it). Next weeks TVWeek dosnt even have a synopsis any more. Just the show title. Not fair or right. And mean. Midwife is the best show on tv. Just ask all the fans. Here, UK, US, wherever its shown.. (200+ countries)..
Thanks I think you’ve made the points a few times now in relation to multichannel shows and CTM. Yes it is disappointing to lose multichannel insights, but I will still post some notable results from time to time, but 7TWO is not first run on CTM, which is BBC First then ABC. Repeat shows will never be afforded the same attention as first run content.
Thank you for your reply. Appreciated. I just find it co-incidental? or interesting/intriguing that the new look ratings system starts, just as Midwife timeslot is relegated to later, and disappointing that Midwife isnt part of new system. (But neither is Vera). I look forward to reading your notable results from time to time. As for first run content, I, and others, have been waiting for ABC to show S12, then 13. Still waiting. The last current series we saw on abc was s11. That was either last May or July. As for repeat shows, the highest it achieved, was s4 ep ? rated 3. That was 3-4 weeks ago. Thanks again for reply. Appreciated.
Out of curiousity I blew the cobwebs out of my memory for spreadsheets and re-sorted the top30 list by National Audience. Apart from a few minor shuffles the biggest change was ABC News at noon from 29 to 18 then Seven News at 5 from 15 to 24 and Weekend Today from 16 to 22. I’ll try again on a weekday. Cut n Paste is a time saver.
