MAFS on top, Survivor wraps on 10.

10 reality series finished second in its slot, but Nine still outplayed. A clear win for Tipping Point on Tuesday.

10’s Australian Survivor finale lifted the network on Tuesday night into third place overall, but it was still half of Nine’s share.

Married at First Sight topped viewing at 1.5m in National TV Audience.

That eclipsed Australian Survivor grand final 706,000 then 7:30 (657,000), Back Roads (583,000), Highway Patrol (434,000 / 395,000) and Who Do you Think You Are? (249,000).

Later The Hundred with Andy Lee was 704,000 then Better Date Than Never (286,000), Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares (244,000), Aaron Chen Comedy Special (214,000), Insight (213,000),

Nine News was 1.14m then A Current Affair (1.09m), and Tipping Point (655,000). Nine News Late was 343,000.

Seven News won with 1.28m. Home & Away drew 752,000 then The Chase (590,000). First Dates UK was 146,000.

The Project pulled 309,000 for 10 then 10 News First (303,000) and Deal or No Deal (287,000). NCIS was (66,000).

ABC News drew 857,000 then Whale with Steve Backshall (203,000).

On SBS it was SBS World News (185,000 / 139,000) and Dateline (109,000).

  1. The past two nights, The Chase has skipped the final commercial break. Larry says we’ll be back after the break, the title card shows and the program returns. I’m thinking this is a stunt to not lose viewers to another channel. But really, who gets all the way through the first 50 mins of The Chase, then doesn’t bother with the final round?

  2. I find the fluctuation in viewers between Tipping Point and the Chase interesting.
    Some days there is a lead by the Chase and it is several thousand and similarly in reverse.
    This is the first time I have noticed a 65,000 people gap in favour of Tipping Point Oz.
    I like the show as the questions gradually get harder and it is sometimes the luck of the machine where the counters drop and the amount of money that piles up.
