  1. I found this version surprisingly enjoyable. Of the original series, Bellisario often spoke with the inclusion of a “kiss with history” which allowed play in the various times without being about changing it. This series kisses the history of Quantum Leap without making us feel the original was redundant and I think it managed it reasonably well.

    1. Technically. It’s set 22 years later when a new team is rebooting the Quantum Leap project and has none of the main cast. It contains one actress who appeared in a minor role in 2 episodes of the original and 5 episode of new show. And a guest character who appeared in one episode of original played by a different actor. It’s a reboot. It’s also been pushed back to 22:54 or maybe later if Idol runs over.

        1. Then you claiming every Star Wars or Star Trek movie or show is a revival. Strange New Worlds is a spin-off, Picard is a sequal. House of the Dragon is the same universe but is a distant prequel. This Quantum Leap is a reboot as it recreating a universe without continuity. What they all having in common is Hollywood’s total replacement of originality with copyright control and beancounting.
