Balder and his wife welcome their entire family to their daughter’s baptism… well, almost the entire family. Balder’s father shows up uninvited and the family’s slightly questionable past is brought to light. This takes the family back to the 70s, when his father Lars starts his porn empire to acquire wealth in order for his wife and children to live a happy and joyous life, unbeknownst to any outside his immediate family. Based on the real and untold story of BÃ¥rd Breien, the director’s own life.

    1. Looks to me like Sanningen (Truth) is Swedish and aired on TV4. It’s shot around Malmo and Ystad, where Wallander was filmed and it’s produced by Filmlance the Swedish production company who did The Bridge. The cast and show runner are also Swedish. There’s also foreign investment, from Poland , German “Iris” and Banijay is doing global English distribution as “Fallen”. If you translate the Swedish synposis it starts out as a standard cold case with a damaged officer and then veers into the supernatural.
