Tony Armstrong hits the road to learn about the untold history of Australia -and curates an exhibition at the National Museum in Canberra.

Feel-good factual series Tony Armstrong’s Extra-Ordinary Things will premiere on ABC in May.

In this five-part series, Tony Armstrong hits the road on his bike to learn about the untold history of Australia. He travels the country to meet everyday Aussies with ordinary things that hold extra-ordinary stories.

Via the series he will become a first-time curator and build his own exhibition for the National Museum of Australia in Canberra, displayed from 21 June.

According to ABC, “Tony Armstrong’s Extra-Ordinary Things is no ordinary show, it’s a series that places the storytelling power in the hands of all Australians. With Tony at the helm, it’s a fast-paced romp around the country that sees sentimental possessions placed front and centre, as we unravel some of Australia’s most defining moments, one thing at a time.”
