Electric Fields rehearse One Milkali in Adelaide

Australia's Eurovision entry has been deep in preparation ahead of the contest in Malmö, Sweden.

Electric Fields were recently in Adelaide rehearsing One Milkali (One Blood) for their Eurovision Song Contest performance in May.

“We came to Adelaide Studios to rehearse One Milkali for our Eurovision performance because it’s a giant space that’s exactly what we needed – lots of room, and a very comfortable space to put our magical performance together.

“Honestly, I’m not sure there is another space quite like this to provide what we needed.”

Alas there’s no telltale hints about how they plan to stage the song…

When asked about their chances at Eurovision, keyboardist and producer Michael Ross said: “We’re feeling really really good… That last performance we did just sort of felt like – OK, yep, we know how to do this.”

Vocalist Zaachariaha Fielding said: “The next time we do this it will be Malmö. It’s all the elements coming together. And we’ll just have to wait and see what happens!”

One Milkali (One Blood), which incorporates Yankunytjatjara language, will be the first time a Eurovision song features Australian First Nations language.
