Police have confirmed they are investigating the incident which took place on Evans Street about 11.20pm on Saturday night.
“As part of this investigation, officers attached to Leichhardt Police Area Command have spoken with a number of people and have secured CCTV,” police said.
Kent’s suspension comes just months after his return to presenting duties on NRL 360, following months of leave during his criminal trial against a former partner brought on mid-last year.
Kent was accused of assaulting and choking his then-girlfriend, 33, at his home in Lilyfield last May but later found not guilty of the alleged domestic violence incident.
