Renewed: Heartbreak High confirms final season

A third and final season is confirmed for the class of Hartley High.

Netflix has announced a third and final season for hit drama series Heartbreak High.

Season 3 will see the cast and creators reassemble in Sydney (Gadigal, Dharug, Dharawal and Ku-ring-gai lands), Australia for the final year at Hartley High.

Netflix Director of Content ANZ Que Minh Luu says, “She never got the letter – but now we get to see what happens next! Renewing Heartbreak High for its final season is a major point of pride for us at Netflix. It has been a joy to work with the utterly cooked creative minds behind our favourite Aussie YA show and to bring our stories, our culture and our in-jokes to all the fans here at home and throughout the world. See you at muck up day.”

Carly Heaton, Fremantle Head of Scripted says, “We are beyond excited to all come together again as we love existing in the craziness of Hartley High. We aimed to create a show where Aussie young people are seen and heard and we are completely overwhelmed by the worldwide reaction to the stories of these characters. All of us who work on the series are grateful to have the opportunity to see what kind of mess evolves in season three.”

  1. The first season was brilliant. The second season, however, was not as impressive. It felt like it became just another teen soap opera, cramming in every cliche possible. If they want to end on a strong note, they should return to the quality of season one.

  2. Ok i will say Heartbreak High credit for covering a lot of topics that other soaps do not cover. I could only last 10 minutes. I hated all the characters unlikeable. Go out on a high and when the actors are reasonably the same age as who they are playing.

  3. Season 2 was a slog to watch and get through, I sometimes wish shows would say listen we dont have enough good writing and content for a season and do tighter editing.
I’ll watch S3 and am happy will get closure!

      1. Why was that? I didn’t see your review. I thought some of it was over the top and the Angus character was totally unnecessary/stupid. But seeing Malaki explore his sexuality, Rowan respond to past trauma, Missy and Spider go from bitter closed to loving open minded was all beautiful
