Motion picture honourees include Jane Fonda (how is she not already honoured?), John Carpenter, Jessica Chastain, Bill Duke, Robert Englund, Emilio Estevez, Colin Farrell, Nia Long, Lisa LIu, Glynn Turman and Toni Vaz.

The television honourees include Fran Drescher, Lauren Graham, Bill Nye, Molly Shannon, Sherri Shepherd, Courtney B. Vance, Chris Wallace and South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, to be honored in a double ceremony.

As Deadline notes, although the honourees have been chosen to receive a star, it is not guaranteed they will receive the honour. Each honouree will have two years to schedule their ceremony before their selection expires.

  1. It beats me Jane Fonda hadn’t received a star before, especially with a film career of 60+ years and two Oscars under her belt.

Her father was one of the first recipients in 1960 and her brother Peter was honoured in 2003.

  2. I’m very surprised that Jane Fonda hasn’t received a star sooner… she’s been around much longer and done so much more than Fran

    1. I’ve been reconnecting with it too. Really enjoying it all over again. My favourite has always been Renee Taylor. She has me in stitches every ep she appears in. And love Lauren Lane’s performance too. Perfectly cast series. Delighted to see Fran get this honour.
