US actor Kevin Brophy, best known for the ‘wolf-boy’ series Lucan, has died, aged 70.
He died following a 10 year battle with cancer, at home in California.
Brophy played the title character in the series Lucan across two seasons from 1977-1978.
He played a 20-year-old who spent the first 10 years of his life running wild in the forests of northern Minnesota, after being raised by wolves, before being taken to a research institute and taught the ways of human society.
Brophy also had numerous guest roles on screen in The Love Boat, M*A*S*H, Growing Pains, The Hardy Boys Mysteries, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Hart to Hart.
He also featured in the films The Long Riders, horror classic Hell Night and Goodfellas.
