Will SAS Australia still screen in 2024?

Network isn't confirming if it still plans to screen a fifth season of reality contest this year.

If SAS Australia is still set to screen in 2024, nobody is yet saying so.

There have been no casting whispers and no production rumours for the Seven show, which was announced as returning this year.

In November Seven Network’s Chief Content Officer, Entertainment Programming, Angus Ross, said, “SAS Australia will return in 2024 with a new batch of celebrities and with more extreme conditions and extraordinary tests of stamina and resilience from the real SAS selection process.”

The last season was filmed in Jordan, with previous seasons in the Snowy Mountains, Capertee Valley, and Blue Mountains, NSW. To get to screen before the year is out, a show of this scale usually needs to be well-advanced.

Host Ant Middleton has already filmed his season of Dancing with the Stars where he is understood to have surprised many in a competitive season.

It isn’t clear if contractually that appearance is in lieu of any changes to SAS Australia.

Seven sources could not confirm its plans for the show, whether underway, pushed to 2025, or not proceeding at all…

  1. I am still surprised that Ant Middleton is on TV as he is problematic. Google him in why he is no longer appearing on the UK version.
