ELEVEN will screen the new US Reality series Fashion Star, hosted by Elle McPherson.
The NBC series sees designers competing to create clothes and have them purchased by Macy’s, Saks Fifth Avenue or H&M.
TEN is expected to launch a local version of the series, with host rumours having included Sarah Murdoch.
The series launched in the US in March.
A new fashion competition series from fashion superstar, Elle Macpherson will feature 14 unknown designers who are given the opportunity to win a multi-million dollar contract to launch their line in America’s largest retail stores. They will be faced with challenges each week to build and expand their brands. Designers and buyers from the largest retail stores will be the judges, bidding against each other to purchase the designer’s work each week. Viewers will also be given the chance to purchase the winning designs each week.
8:30pm Monday June 4th on ELEVEN.

i would have thought that this would have gone to Seven, considering there NBC Universal output deal. 11 has deals with CBS, paramount and Fox. So this is a bit odd.
Isn’t that just Project Runway with a different name?

Thanks for this David. I really been wanting to see this. It also has Nicole Richie and Jessica Simpson. But I thought it would of been better on a Friday as a run into NZ Next Top Model. And its not up against Revenge and The Voice.
What’s the point? 1: We probably cannot purchase the clothes and 2: If we can, they will no longer be available.
