Cricket legend Sir Viv Richards is the latest to join TEN’s cricket commentary team.
The former West Indian cricketer, who is widely regarded as the greatest One Day International batsman of all time, joins previously-announced commentators Ricky Ponting, Adam Gilchrist, Mark Waugh and Damien Fleming.
TEN head of Sport David Barham said, “We are very excited that Sir Viv will be part of our commentary team.
“Sir Viv was an aggressive, relentless player, but always a crowd favourite. Australians have great affection for him and we know that the combination of Sir Viv, Adam, Mark and Damien will ve a real treat for viewers and will make for great television.”
Richards was recruited to Shane Warne’s Australian Twenty20 side last year, to mentor the Melbourne Stars.
TEN’s Big Bash League coverage begins in December.

Andrew Flintoff and Ten are currently in discussions as part of the BBL coverage on Ten
Channel 10’s commentary team is getting better day by day. Hope it turns out to be a huge success like the recent Rugby Union test matches between the Lions and Australia.
Ten have put together a great team…A big investment for only how many domestic telecasts? The fact is only two states will watch at any one time.
Am I correct in saying TEN do not cover the international 20/20 matches? Seems over the top to me….But i congratulate them on the investment. A real shame they did not get the full rights. Well done TEN..Hope it pays off.
Ten has far the best commentary of all then Nine as I wished they got the full package
I’ve run out of compliments to the TEN team for this line up.
