More to come in Summer of Cricket

As Finals loom, both Seven and FOX Sports are buoyed by wall to wall Cricket.

Both Seven and FOX Sport have been singing the praises of the Test Cricket and Big Bash League.

On Thursday the Australia v West Indies Test averaged 427,000 metro viewers which grew to 681,000 in Total TV.

Head of Network Sport, Lewis Martin, said: “A dominant opening innings from our national team, a debutant taking five wickets against a team of his idols and an emphatic century from Travis Head in his hometown, the Adelaide Test had it all – and there’s so much more to come on Seven’s summer of cricket.”

Seven’s Big Bash League also continues, this week averaging up to 276,000 metro viewers and 478,000 Total TV.

“Once again, Seven has assembled a stellar commentary and hosting team for the BBL Finals series, led by none other than world-class caller, Ricky Ponting, who will feature in every Final, before returning to Seven’s Test coverage at the Gabba next Thursday, 25 January,” he said.

“With wall-to-wall cricket from the BBL Finals to the final Test at the Gabba, there is nowhere else to be this summer than right here on Seven, your home of Cricket.”

Meanwhile Kayo Sports advises a BBL match this week was their #1 streaming audience of all time for a regular season game.

Aaron Finch’s farewell drew more than 170,000 people streaming his final BBL innings against the Melbourne Stars.

FOX Cricket General Manager Matt Weiss said: “The backbone of our BBL season has been our world-class commentary team. Led by Adam Gilchrist and Mark Howard the addition of international broadcasters like Ravi Shastri, Ian Smith, Michael Vaughan, Isa Guha, Harsha Bhogle and Wasim Akram has taken our FOX Cricket broadcasts to another level”.
