New episodes of Castle have been removed from Seven’s Sunday night schedules, effectively immediately.
Instead Seven is airing double episodes of Resurrection as from 9pm this Sunday.
Perth viewers who missed out on Resurrection due to Telethon on the weekend will presumably catch up at some point.
Seven advises new Castle will return at a later date, but with the end of the ratings year just a month away it’s unclear if they mean 2014 or 2015.

this does suck really bad. This is why I pay for Foxtel and stay away from free to air. They never seem yo really care about what viewers want. Why couldn’t they just put it on at 3 am or something. I don’t care about the time, I just want to see what they promised by fast tracking it!!!
And they wonder why people pirate tv shows
Seeing Resurrection is tanking fast in the US, it probably makes sense to get through as many episodes now as possible.
Well that sucks, Castle is one of mu top shows and it was great to see it fast tracked. Damn hope it’s back before 2016.
Why not just move it to one of their other channels.
I was happy, but extremely surprised when 7 basically fast-tracked this new season of Castle. They haven’t done so for years, so it seemed strange. And now this! I would have preferred that they didn’t fast-track the 1st 3 or 4 episodes, because they will be forgotten by the time Castle comes back (most likely in February). And having what appears to be a season-long storyline arc with Castle’s mystery kidnapping is only going to make it worse.
Castle could be a hit for Seven if they didnt treat it so terribly.
And they wonder why viewers are using other means. I assume you meant 2014 or 2015 😉 Though I wouldn’t put 2016 past them.
Ha…. funny. Fixed.
Not good for those people who have season passes on itunes. When the next episode will be available now will be anyone’s guess.
The recent starting times for Castle suggests Seven was looking for an excuse to put the show back on the shelf.
I am sick of the staggered start times of Program in 2014
So Seven are just going to hunker down for the last month of ratings.
After Telethon on Sunday night, Perth viewers saw the new episode of Criminal Minds that every other state will see tomorrow night. Perth is using this Wednesday slot to air the double premiere of Resurrection so they will be up to date this Sunday and air the same as everyone else.
