Stars of Seven, Marcia Hines, Jimmy Barnes, Rhonda Burchmore, Rove McManus and more in a 25hr+ broadcast in the West.

Seven is staging Perth’s long-running Telethon this weekend at RAC Arena.

The broadcast again spans over 25 hours non stop (except for Seven News), a remarkable effort.

Telethon currently supports 107 children’s charities in Western Australia.

Telethon 2023 promises an unparalleled entertainment experience with performances by some of Australia’s legendary music stars, including disco diva Marcia Hines, Russell Morris and the dazzling Rhonda Burchmore. Plus a soon to be announced surprise closing performance from Australian rock royalty Jimmy Barnes.

Special guest Emma Memma, will also grace the stage with her infectious energy, as well as David Strassman, Human Nature’s Phil Burton, along with social media sensations the Rybka Twins and Ben and Zara. Not forgetting Perth locals Rove McManus & Tasma Walton as well as the ever insightful Maggie Dent.

Joining the star-studded lineup will be much-loved television presenter Dr Chris Brown, SAS Australia’s Chief Instructor Ant Middleton, Sunrise hosts Natalie Barr and Matt Shirvington, The Morning Show’s Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies, Better Homes and Gardens’ presenters Dr Harry Cooper, Charlie Albone and Juliet Love, and Home and Away favourites including Lynne McGranger, Matt Evans, Adam Rowland and many more!

  1. Is Kochie not coming? He’s still signed to Seven, just because he retired from Sunrise shouldn’t be reason for him not to come. Especially when he is always such a favourite there

      1. Yeah I noticed that after I commented, shame they didn’t actually mention it in the statement released beforehand about who’s coming like he isn’t important now because he doesn’t host Sunrise anymore

    1. Kochie is at Telethon and is hosting for part of it. Rob Palmer who used to be on Better Homes and Gardens still regularly comes over for Telethon (he’s a champ!).

  2. David what’s your thoughts on why 7 Melb don’t give the Good Friday Appeal the same treatment? A full 24 hour telethon, instead there’s seems to have gotten shorter in recent years 🤷🏼‍♂️

    1. Covid years did seem to impact the GFA output. They both have long histories but maybe Seven owning WA newspaper is a big influence. As they said at Upfronts this week, Seven dominates in the West.
