It is the original and the best, and it is returning very soon. The 2015 season of MasterChef Australia is set to debut after Easter, bigger and better than ever, with the best group of home cooks and the most amazing cooking the competition has ever seen.

With an unrivalled passion for food and a strong desire to join the food industry, the contestants will deliver some of the finest dishes in the history of MasterChef Australia.

The much-loved judges – Gary Mehigan, George Calombaris and Matt Preston – have travelled the country to find the most talented amateur home cooks to join them in the MasterChef Australia kitchen.

As working chefs, Gary and George will encourage and challenge the contestants to push the boundaries further and take their talent to a new level.

Renowned food writer Matt Preston will share his immeasurable food knowledge and urge the contestants to surprise and delight the judges.

Guest mentor Shannon Bennett from three-hatted fine dining restaurant Vue de Monde will guide the Top 24 contestants through immunity challenges, coaching them toward success.
