The Australian Opals and Boomers will take on China at John Cain Arena in Melbourne.

The Australian Opals and Boomers will take on China in the Ballin’ 24 basketball series as they prepare for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Live  on ESPN.

Over four nights from Tuesday July 2 to Friday July 5, ESPN will provide live and exclusive coverage of the Australian Opals and Boomers as they each play two games against China from John Cain Arena in Melbourne.

Also in action at Ballin’ 24 will be the Rollers and Gliders, Australia’s wheelchair basketball teams, and the men’s and women’s 3 x 3 Gangurrus, as they prepare for Olympic and Paralympic campaigns.

Ballin’ 24 games involving the Gliders, Rollers and Gangurrus will be available via Kayo Sports*.

The international basketball action on ESPN begins on Tuesday July 2 Live at 7.30pm AEST with the Australian Boomers tipping off the opening night session of Ballin’ 24 against China.

Boomers coach Brian Goorjian has named a strong squad containing international and domestic stars.

NBA stars Josh Giddey, Patty Mills, Josh Green, Dante Exum, Joe Ingles, Matisse Thybulle, Dyson Daniels will join Chris Goulding, Matthew Dellavedova, and a new wave of young Australian talent.

The Boomers will be finalising preparations for the Paris 2024 campaign, as they look to build on the bronze medal achieved in Tokyo. Coach Goorjian will lead Australia to a fourth Olympics as head coach.

Australian will play the second game vs China, Live on ESPN Thursday July 4 at 7.30pm AEST.

Wednesday July 3 has the Australian Opals taking to the court Live at 7.30pm AEST, beginning their own two-game series with China.

Having claimed a bronze medal on home soil at the FIBA Women’s World Cup, the Australian Opals will go into another Olympic campaign as a serious contender.

Currently ranked at number three in the world, the two games series with China will assist in preparing the side for the challenges to come on-court in Paris.

The Opals will return for a second game against China Live at 7.30pm AEST Friday July 5.

A squad full of star names has been announced, including Lauren Jackson, Isobel Borlase, Cayla George, Tess Madgen, Mariana Tolo and Maddy Rocci.
