Seven officially advised of its summer programming today, confirming the weekend story that 30 Rock would have its long-awaited premiere in Australia.
As reported, there are new eps of The Amazing Race, Shark, Bones, American Dad, The Simple Life Goes To Camp and Heartbeat spin-off, The Royal.
Additional new shows include Six Degrees (pictured) a drama from J.J. Abrams about connected New Yorkers. It was cancelled in the US after 8 episodes. Seven will also air reality shows Beauty and The Geek, Man’s Work and Wild Vets, and sports clip show Whacked Out.
Air Crash Investigations, Coastwatch and Borderline from NZ will also screen. There will be repeat eps of Grey’s Anatomy, Ghost Whisperer, Criminal Minds and Family Guy.
UPDATED: The Amazing Race will be Series Ten which Seven skipped (Series 12 is currently airing in the US). The irony here of course is that the ‘All Stars’ Series 11 featured two losing teams from Series 10. Die-hard fans will be watching a series in which they already know the outcome for two teams due to sloppy Seven programming.
TV Tonight has confirmed earlier plans for new Prison Break episodes have been shelved due to the writers’ strike.
Press Release:
Emmy-winning comedy series 30 Rock will have it’s highly anticipated Australian premiere on Channel Seven this Summer.
The critically acclaimed series, which stars Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin in his Golden Globewinning role as a brash network TV executive, is one of five brand new series in Seven’s Summer 07/08 line-up.
The others are Six Degrees, an intriguing drama from the producers of Lost and Alias starring Bridget Moynahan and Erika Christensen; Man’s Work, a reality show which follows one man’s mission to become a “real man” by taking on some of the world’s toughest and most dangerous jobs; Wild Vets, a dramatic factual series which follows vets who work in the wild; and Whacked Out Sports which features incredible, must-see sports clips from around the world.
New seasons of four-time Emmy-winning The Amazing Race; twisted reality competition series Beauty And The Geek; Heartbeat spin-off The Royal; and New Zealand’s hit observational documentary series Coastwatch and Borderline will also be seen on Seven over Summer.
Plus, with their feud behind them, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie venture into the great outdoors to become camp counsellors when The Simple Life Goes To Camp.
Brand new episodes of Shark, Bones, American Dad, That 70s Show, Heartbeat and Air Crash Investigations will round out Seven’s all-new primetime line-up for Summer. Viewers can also catch up on their favourite episodes of the hit shows Grey’s Anatomy, Ghost Whisperer, Criminal Minds and Family Guy which all move into repeats next month.

Channel Ten is way better than 7 or 9 for that matter so maybe 7 and 9 should stop fighting and put on better shows
Yeah, it’s not as if anyone that actually cared has already watched the entire series of well, most of these shows already
