Glenn Robbins puts quiz Question to Seven

Glenn Robbins is developing a new quiz / chat show for the Seven Network called Out of the Question.

The show will pit topical questions to three celebrities designed to reveal information about them.

“I’ve worked on so many shows with my mates, I thought it was about time I threw down my own picnic rug for them to come and play on,” Robbins told the Daily Telegraph.

This style of show has worked wonders with ABC audiences. Seven has tried its own version of Spicks and Specks and other light entertainment before, unsuccessfully with Todd McKenney’s You May Be Right, and of course, its own ill-fated Chat Room. This version, co-produced by Robbins and Jigsaw Entertainment, seems to borrow a little from the Einstein Factor too.

The cementing of Robbins with Seven (he already appears on Kath and Kim) will diminish any chance of The Panel returning, but shouldn’t jeopardise Thank God You’re Here, should Working Dog decide to resume the hit comedy.

  1. A chat show/quiz show how in the world is that gonna happen? Heres what I think they get 3 celebrities and talk to them for half an hour and then in the next half an hour they are going to ask questions for the other two to answer them. If this was the concept or any other concept, it’s going to go down the drain like Todd KcKenney’s show.
