Nine has its media launch for Underbelly in Melbourne tonight -but where?
It’s kept the location under wraps for fear some of the real-life characters may decide to pay them a visit.
So far all the invitees know is a time. Publicists will be wearing their fingers to the bone in a mammoth “ring around” today.
The 13 part series is expected to air at 8:30pm Wednesday Feb 13.

You’d never get drama like this on 7. They stick to the daggy and un-confronting stories like All Saints City Homicide and Home and Away.
I don’t think people can say that it won’t rate out of Melbourne as nobody knows, we should rate until after ratings are released.
I hope it rates as I want 9 back to number one as it was such a big part of Aussies lives and it can still be, seven never had that feeling to it.
Anyonymous 1: oh dear. A few too many Nine employees lurking around here, methinks. At least have the balls to give yourself a regular pseudonym. Or maybe there’s a staff pool allocated to dealing with this sort of criticism.
And if you think I’m a “Seven lover” you obviously haven’t been paying attention.
Now, come on, defend the spam watermarking Nine’s doing. Dare you.
Actually Nine is being talked about here 🙂 Yes Seven won one year but that’s old news and they are now looking tired and out of ideas:)
blah blah blah typical sore losers from the 9ers, just cos 7 wins and is talked about they wanna try to get everyone to play like 2 year olds – how pathetic.
Underbelly will only do well in Melbourne and its more a ABC production type thing rather than one of the big 3 to touch it, ala Blue Murder
where as the nine lovers should stay here at tvtonight.
ahh kitten, you’re pussy attitude to Nine is tiresome, off to Media Spy with all the other Seven lovers you go….
Well if your part of the ‘under world’ I’m sure you don’t need a crappy invite to know what’s happening and where things are happening in your city.
Err, most of the “real life characters” are, well, DEAD!
Sorry for the spoiler 😉
This is just more desperate Nine hype. I bet if I dared to wake one of my media friends at this hour of the night they’d tell me, after abusing me loudly for screwing up their sleep, exactly where the “secret” launch is.
Not that I especially care. Nine’s over-hype for this show, including plastering its logo all over other shows, has me feeling quite negative about it, regardless of its quality. And it’s not like we don’t know how it ends…
