The Ex List is axed

CBS axes its comedy drama, which was one of TEN's acquisitions, while other shows win further episodes.

CBS has axed its comedy drama The Ex List after just four episodes. It was one of TEN’s mid year acquisitions.

The show revolves around a woman who returns to past relationships after a medium tells her she has already dated her future husband. She is told she has one year to re-find her future husband otherwise she will spend the rest of her life single.

Based on the Israeli series Mythological X it starred Elizabeth Reaser, Rachel Boston, Adam Rothenberg, Alex Breckenridge.

Meanwhile there are more episodes ordered for Gossip Girl, Samantha Who, 90210, and One Tree Hill.

  1. After seeing and loving the first two episodes, I started to tell my 2 girlfriends about this awesome new show – but they had both been watching and loving it too! I wish it could come back, unfortunately that probably wont happen 🙁

  2. Just when I was enjoying some lighthearted comic relief that we could relate to… there’s only so much Law & Order Criminal Intent & SVU, CSI Miami & NY and NCIS repeats I can cope with!! Another boring summer of free to air 2nd rate rubbish! Although, I was enjoying Army wives…but will it be on next week????

  3. i am so mad, i loved that show!! in perth it is usually on tonight and when it did not come on i went on the net and found out it was axed!! this is ridiculous they could at least tell you that it wasnt gonna be on anymore!!!
that show was great and now its replaced with crap as usual

  4. Seriously, i liked the show. I am very disappointed in CBS pulling the show as it never had the chance to develop like other shows. Yet we are served with another series of 90210 which is nothing compared to the original and whose ratings i imagine could not have been better than the Ex Lists but due to fans of the original (and whom are obviously holding on for it to be just as good, which will never happen (have you seen the cast? What a laugh!) the ratings were moderately better. Perhaps the show should be given another chance? Hire new screenwriters, but dont waste a good idea!!!

  5. Right now there are 3 disspointed girls sitting in this lounge room. The ex-list was a fantastic series. Great cast and hilarious screen writiing. It’s for all those ‘sex and the city’ fans, who want something light hearted on a Monday night. Channel 10, big mistake. This was a much talked about show in the office for all us girls.

We want an ending at least!

  6. Oh my gosh, first 90210 gets axed (twice!) and now this! I LOVED this show! It was so funny, and Elizabeth Reaser was wonderful! Why do they keep doing this?! I agree with the whole why-start-a-series-if-you’re-not-going-to-finish-it thing. It’s totally idiotic >=(

  7. Im really disappointed with that. I really got into the show and now it’s just a matter of time before its finished. I cant believe CBS just have a thing with randomly putting things on and ripping them off. Honestly, whats the point ?

  8. David, any idea of list of shows grabbed by each network here.

Get the feeling Ten,Seven & Nine might need to buy up 30 shows in hope that 1 or 2 work here
