Bye, bye Harold.

What a moment. Presenting Ian Smith and his final Neighbours "clapper board": Episode 5635, Sc 17, Take "1".

hbishopTV Tonight is pleased to bring you a moment in Australian television history.

Ian Smith’s last “clapper board” following his final scene on Neighbours.

And this time it’s for good.

Filmed last October, the scene will go to air in Australia this month.

The much-loved actor, who joined the soap in 1987, already retired from the show but agreed to some part-time appearances.

Now Smith hopes to spend more time travelling and spending time with his family.

Episode 5635, Sc 17, Take “1” (what a pro) airs on February 27th on TEN.

  1. To me, Ian Smith will always be the evil Mr. Douglas from “the department” on Prisoner. His work on that show, both on screen and behind the scenes, is far more deserving of recognition than his portrayal of the bumbling Harold Bishop.
