  1. If they had to submit an episode to be judged on, David’s death would blow all others out of the water. The production values and acting were some of the best you’ll see on television.

    1. She had extensive travel plans booked before the show was revived, which producers knew about and supported, so they worked an extended absence for Susan into the script.

  2. Wow !! Neighbours keep on surprising. Lots of the original actors on the show became famous in the Uk, now this crop are exposed to an even wider audience including the US. so hopefully there will be another Kylie, Margot or Liam from this lot.

  3. Wow. Such a huge achievement in being nominated for a Daytime Emmy. Never in my wildest dream did i think this will happen. The show is going strength to strength.

  4. And you, Home and Away? *crickets chirp*

After being blatantly ignored by the Logies and local industry for recognition for so long, including during their “final” year, it’s awesome to see Neighbours get this recognition.

      1. I know Home and Away doesn’t screen in the USA, it was just a comment in jest.

In regards to Neighbours’ publicity, I meant in recent years. Certainly earlier on, Neighbours got a lot of love from the Logies, and TV Week, but I can’t remember the last time one of the cast or the show won a Logie, whereas Home and Away consistently wins Most Popular. Certainly a reflection of viewers, sure, and the times.

I don’t buy it anymore, so can’t comment, but I do remember a very long stretch of time where Home and Away dominated the TV week covers and Neighbours rarely got a foot in the door. So the comments are valid.

      2. Pretty sure he was referring to the fact that Neighbours has somewhat been overlooked/ ignored by the Logies and the Home and away reference was the fact that it hasn’t received an Emmy nod… that’s how I read it anyway. Happy to be corrected.
But yes. H & A wouldn’t be in the running anyway.

  5. I am so, so happy for the cast and crew. To go from cancelled in 2022 to emmy nominated in 2024, what an achievement. So well deserved, they probably won’t win against the US favourites but it’s a huge honour to be nominated.
