  1. I too will be watching it on Fox Sports, commercial free anyday over 7 who not only have commercials after every goal but also ‘plug’ shows across the screen during matches. Like Daniel’s first post, I’d like to know why seven were allowed in on this match?

  2. if the people at 7 had any brains. which they more than likely dont. they would put this game on nation wide. maybe not everyon has fox. i have fox. they never think things through do they. this a great opportunity for them to do something right

  3. BM-dog, I remember last year that when Brisbane played on a Saturday afternoon or Saturday night the game was shown live or on a half hour delay by Channel Ten. And when Brisbane weren’t playing, Ten still showed the Saturday night game they were covering at 7 or 7.30pm into Brisbane.

  4. koverstreet was that seven bashing comment really necessary. it’s not live in Qld and NSW for the same reason that 9 does not show a lot of rugby games live to VIC or SA.

shame just as much to 9. shame.

  5. Seven and Ten don’t show AFL into Sydney and Brisbane any more than is contractually required, because it rates horribly in those markets. A popular anecdote (not completely sure of how true it is, but it sounds plausible) says that live AFL games in Sydney have struggled to beat Iron Chef repeats on SBS. It’s certainly true that Seven and Ten have tried to get out of their contractual obligations to show games live in Sydney and Brisbane. So if they’re trying to reduce the number of regular season games they show, it’s unlikely that they’re going to be falling over themselves to show a trial.

  6. Channel Seven arent meant to have anything to do with this game. This was meant to be a Fox Sports produced game and thus goes live nationwide on Fox Sports. Did the AFL give Seven permission to simulcast the game or are Seven allowed to do their own production? Because Fox Sports cover the game much better than Channel Seven.

  7. Why NSW and Qld are left out of this I’ll never understand? Im very angry its not being shown. Are these states just not good enough? Can someone explain what the deal is here???
