Feast your eyes on this inventive trailer in the US for two FOX series, Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles and Dollhouse (pictured).
Filmed a la the double feature for Tarantino’s Grindhouse film, it’s bound to get the attention of its target audience, young males.
Some Aussie networks have been borrowing ideas for promos and openers lately, I guess FOX is borrowing an idea from Tarantino too. But somehow it comes across as a bit more of an homage.
Besides it’s going to take a lot to top Foxtel’s ‘Dexter goes to Adelaide’ stunt. That was gold.

The Dollhouse serial concept is so similar to My Own Worst Enemy. where you have an agent with dual personalities.
Can’t believe they canceled MOWE it was a pretty good show.
Ok now I really really really want Dollhouse to hurry up and arrive onto our televisions!
The odds are against these shows working (apparantly), but i hope they work out, as it would inspire other networks to produce more scripted shows on off-peak nights, instead of reality shows/reruns.
Great Promo, certainly stands out from the pack! But a promo can only do so much based on the quality of product.
The video is not loading for me :(
But I will be watching/cough both shows, I have high hopes for Dollhouse and Terminator just keeps getting better.
I can’t say this promo makes me want to watch either show. I will, however, be checking out Dollhouse due to Whedon producing quality TV almost unnaturally. I reckon the other promos FOX have done for it are better. I don’t think it’ll last longer than Firefly though, not on Friday nights when FOX could just throw on 5th Grader and Lyrics instead
Oh, that’s awesome. And so, so politically incorrect. And therefore even more awesome.
“Hotter than Hades!”
“More! More! More!”
“In glorious Super Sound”.
Fox, we’ve had a torturous relationship, but whoever came up with the idea for this promo, you are legend.
