Country music star Troy Cassar-Daley, who appeared on It Takes Two, says he wants to host a TV show profiling Australian characters living in remote regions.
“I’ve been talking to some mates about chucking a concept together,” Cassar-Daley told AAP.
“There’s still pockets of Australia, and characters, that people haven’t seen.
“It might be at a pub in Normanton in North Queensland where there’s water around everywhere and you soldier up to these fellows and start yarning about their lives what they’ve done, and there’s a story.”
He believes he’s got the right attitude to host and make the documentary-style series work.
“I can conduct a conversation enough with people to get them talking, which I think is the only skill you need.
Well, it’s not really my thang, but it sounds a perfect fit for Seven which is finding a good response to In the Bush with Malcolm Douglas, a show it sat on for several months. Inexpensive, colloquial, upbeat and could incorporate music.
Over to you, Mr. Worner?
