happy-feet-lead-2Nine is about to go in hard against Seven’s football plans by pitting a television premiere of the movie Happy Feet against AFL’s Round 1 matches.

The hit movie will air at 7:30pm on Friday March 27th in Melbourne against Seven’s AFL match between Hawthorn v Geelong.

Melbourne has the Anne Hathaway film Hoodwinked on Saturday 28th March.

  1. i don’t really see how they are competing, no one who watches football would want to watch happy feet and no one who would watch happy feet was going to watch the football. perhaps the only conflict comes where the kids and dad are fighting over the one tv. it’ll just mean more people watching tv rather than a finite audience being split up.

  2. Sydney and Brisbane have a rugby league doubleheader on the night of Friday March 27 (Titans v Bulldogs and Wests Tigers v Sydney Roosters) so I assume that Lords of Dogtown will be shown in those cities after the matches.
