Prisoner stars to meet UK fans

It’s not just superheroes and sci fi actors that are meeting fans at conventions across the globe. Aussie soapie stars are getting their share of the adulation too, and rightly so.

UK fans who missed out on celebrations for the 30th Anniversary of Prisoner earlier this year are in for a treat as stars of the show plan to head north later this year.

Prisoner: Cell Block-H, as it became known overseas, has achieved cult status in the UK. There are at least four coming events featuring cast members:

November 14: An Audience with Fiona Spence, Birmingham
November 22: Val Lehman, Fiona Spence, Gerard Maguire, Birmingham (the Moor Hall Hotel venue even has a function room called “The Wentworth!”)
December 5: Janet Andrewartha, (Neighbours / Prisoner event), Glasgow
December 12: Janet Andrewartha, (Neighbours / Prisoner event), Manchester
