7PM’s live push-up pads moment

"I've got all these things in my boobs!" Carrie Bickmore told her castmates, as she removed bra insert pads live on television.

cbMany years ago Kate Langbroek made headlines for breastfeeding during an episode of The Panel, a live first on Australian television.

Last night on TEN’s 7PM Project Carrie Bickmore was in the middle of a panel discussion about female body image during sex, when she was driven to remove bra insert pads live on television.

“I’m being pretty honest here. During the day I feel good about myself… I walk around, and I don’t have big boobs or anything, and I think my boobs look alright. But you know why I look alright? Because I’ve got all these things in my boobs!

Bickmore reached into her cleavage.

“I’m serious, when I get into the bedroom I don’t have any of these things. It’s just me!”

She took out push-up enhancements and lay them on the desk. A brutally honest moment? Or too much information?

“I know we need to get over our insecurities, but you guys need to know that they’re there.”

It was the intro to the next segment that made it all the more stark….

“Now some disturbing news from the UK today,” she began…

  1. Carrie looks and acts innocent on screen, but shes already given the impression of a different person off screen.

I think she tries too hard to fit in and be one of the boys, because Rove’s production team seem to be dominatedby men.

  2. Typical over-the-top hysterical reaction from a woman with a questionable sense of self and humour.

If she is that insecure about everything and can’t even have sex with her own husband without massive insecurities plaguing her then she has the problem – I found it really rude of her to be blaming the media and movies. As an intelligent woman (apparently) shouldn’t she be able to see past all that crap?

She never debates the point either just gets more and more wound up.

I would like to know who is making her wear all the fillets though? Ten or her choice? If it’s her own choice – wtf are you whining about?

  3. I thought that she was very brave to do that on live TV. Women shouldn’t need to have big boobs in order to feel good about themselves. Be proud of the body you have, Carrie!

  4. From throwing perfectly good m&m’s up in the air during the Rove turns 10 special, to pulling out the items which help support her physique.

My question is, what party trick is she going to come up with next ? 😛

  5. This show is crap. Every time I hear that opening theme, its like when Kramer was having seizures every time he heard Mary Hart’s voice in Seinfeld. The sooner Rove and his crappy offshoot programs are dumped from TV the better.

  6. I thought it was hilarious… go Carrie!

Unfortunately the ratings may see the end of this show which would be a shame as I have enjoyed watching it grow into a really entertaining half hour of tele… just the stuff I like when i get home from work.

I know alot of people don’t like it… but I’m a fan! Hope to see you on screen for a while yet guys.

  7. Admittedly i watched 7pm for the first time in ages, and as much as I hate to say it, it seemed really random and… unexpected. It was almost like watching someone about to burst into tears… but there was no deep conversation before hand that led to the sudden revelation..

Obviously something she feels incredibly passionate about though, and all power to her.
