  1. Interesting to see the two different viewpoints emerging… I couldn’t stand it either – but can understand that others love it – lets see what the ratings are tomorrow!

  2. Obviously it’s either you like or not. I switched over after watching CMC, Spicks & Specks and Hungry Beast to get an ad break. They came back from the ad to chat (about nothing much) for about 2 minutes and then went to another ad break. What the? Find that very annoying with live tv.

  3. I’m with Chris. It was dreadful however many years ago, and it was dreadful tonight – at least until the first ad break which is all I could take. Somers has the biggest ego in television – without any of the talent to support it. Thank God for Andrew Denton trying something new in television.

  4. Fantastic!!

I’m only 22 but i remember watching it when i was younger every saturday night and i loved it.

channel 9 would be stupid if they didn’t bring this back next year.

i’ve been laughing for the past hour and a half as the show is so good. i love all the old segments and it reminds us how good it was.

Daryl is just as funny as ever and it’s like the show was never off air.

People still love it today….Go HHIS

  5. Australia really Needs a variety show.
Yes it’s out of place being on a week night at this hour, but on Sat where it used to be it would do much better. There is nothing like it these days.

  6. Sorry Chris. I disagree. This is just what I needed today. I’ve been laughing for the past hour and a half. It’s nice to see some genuine variety on TV for a change. I hope it gets a full year run next year.

  7. Did anyone else think they were watching an old vhs rerun?

The quality of the show looked dated, poor SD fullscreen retro television.

    The format hasn’t changed.

Basically, they haven’t updated anything at all so this was a wasted exercise. Praise Zeus for Masterchef.

  8. I reckon it would’ve worked better as a flashback clip show type reunion more so than just trying to bring back to life the old format as a test run to see if it has legs. I feel like I’m watching daytime TV. aaagh!

  9. This is complete rubbish! It took 2 secs to figure out why it was axed. The format is dated and Daryl is terrible. Not funny and just makes me cringe at his terrible jokes. If Nine thinks this is what people want to see, they are just delusional.
