Seinfeld: Reunion “a miracle”
"Larry and I both felt like this was a bit of a miracle, the way this fell together" says Jerry Seinfeld.

Jerry Seinfeld has spoken about the reunion with his co-stars for Curb Your Enthusiasm.
“Doing it with Larry and on his show just seemed like the only possible way it would be fun…” he says. “We would never do the type of thing that these shows usually do. That wouldn’t be our style. But something like this — that was sillier and a little more offbeat — felt like it might be right for us.”
Other excerpts from his interview include:
On being back on Stage 19 of the CBS Radford lot, where the old Seinfeld sets had been taken out of storage and updated:
“The best analogy is a snow globe. You’re walking into a miniature fake environment that has been recreated. As I told people about it, I could go back in your life 10 years and recast your friends, recreate where you live, everything in it exactly how it was, and now somebody with a headset points at you and you walk in now, and there it was, and you go, ‘Jesus Christ, this is my old life!’ We all felt like it was a very special experience. Just to go back in time in life is a fantasy.
“One of the coolest moments was to sit down again in that little foursome that we always sat in. Somebody suggested something about some camera shot: ‘Can you switch?’ And we looked at the guy like, ‘Are you kidding?’ Because we would always sit in that exact configuration. There was no way we were going to change now.”
On how he feels about the reunion:
“Larry and I both felt like this was a bit of a miracle, the way this fell together. The proof of it is that he — who had really designed the whole thing — had no idea that it would come out like this. He was very surprised. That was the coolest thing.”

I’ve collected a few of the seasons of Seinfeld on dvd. Including season 9. Looking forward to this on Curb Your Enthusiasm. 🙂
looking forward to GO! showing this.
Curb is one of the best series from this decade. I just wish Australian networks would treat it better.
@john:
Me too. Arrested Development should have been given a chance. I mean, who doesn’t love a dysfunctional family? And David Cross is a genius comic.
Thanks for the link! Cannot wait for the new Curbs!!! The funniest show not on TV 🙂
seinfeld is my all time favourite show, cant wait to see it back
Man, that is good news … and I bet it’s the best gig Michael Richards has had in a while.
I’m really excited for this season to start – can hardly contain myself until Sept. 20th! In the meantime, I am watching all the past episodes.
I forgot how funny Season 6 was…
With all the ‘Seinfeld’ news of late maybe they will finally announce the Blu-Ray release soon, just in time for xMas.
The whole Seinfeld thing has eluded me.I just don’t get it…it being what every other worshipper of this show gets.
Then again i find it unbelievable that Arrested Development had such a short life.Portia De Rossi & David Cross especially were hilarious. And Julia Dreyfuss had a very comical “blind” role as did Liza Minelli, but it seemed to escape so many people’s attention….sigh.
