Bones, Castle returning soon

Seven appears to be readying a Sunday night return for two of its US series.

HQ-BonesSeven will soon return a new series of Bones to air.

The latest season recently returned in the US. The third episode in the series goes to air today.

It will also return Castle, which has aired 2 eps in its new season.

So far Seven is yet to confirm its 8:30 -10:30 shows for Sunday October 11th. Update: Movie Wild Hogs confirmed for Oct 11.

This Sunday night it has a movie: Evan Almighty.

  1. I was mistaken, ‘The Incredibles’ are on tonight not Sunday, ‘The Pacifier’ and the ‘Evan Almighty’ are still on Sunday (Syd/Bris).

Yes flying to the US is expensive, I’m going there tonight to see the new Stargate as I can’t wait a week for SciFi and Nine dropped the Hey-Hey re-run I was planing to watch!

  2. I too just started following ‘Castle’, but if Seven are going to be awesome and show it on telly, i guess i’ll watch from them. I love love that show <3 But i will need a proper date confirmation before i stop following the US episodes.

  3. oh wow thats so fantasitc about Castle im just seeing the new season now but if 7 is gonna fast track it then i wont.

So it must have rated well for 7 to fast track it, did it?

  4. @Robert – maybe if I had a life I’d agree with you.

OT – the only issue I have with DLS is Austar, here in QLD we are pegged to the NSW times so come 2am Sunday all my Austar shows are an hour early, which is good and bad depending on the show and potential conflicts with FTA shows. Except ABC and SBS channels.

  5. bizarre. i would have held them off. bad things happen to shows that are fasttracked. bones/castle would rate much better if they were held off. sure it would have displeased a few people like craig but if it’s ratings that 7 want they should start in Feb and then they will have heaps of eps.

for those that don’t understand: there is a great audience dropoff in australia in october especially on sundays. a decision that networks have to make is do the fasttrack it and lose audience to the october dropoff or do they hold it off and lose audience to downloaders. cult shows like lost and heroes have a large downloader % audience so fasttracking is usually the best option. but procedurals especially female skewing ones are best off held over.

  6. @salf it’s not a stupid decision.

Maybe people want to see these shows ASAP or they will go else where, holding off for 2-3 months is the reason some shows suffer in this country!

  7. stupid decision. they will only be able to air 6-7 eps before non-ratings. they may as well hold it off so they can do a proper promotion and air the full season in 2010.
    the movies are doing fine.

  8. Yes yes yes yes yes. So happy. Thank you for listening Seven. But stuff Evan Almighty, one of the most terrible movies i’ve ever seen, just start Bones and Castle next week.

  9. Excellent news. I have already seen the first two episodes of Bones, but I am glad I won’t have to wait until next year to see the rest. New Castle is a bonus.

  10. Can’t believe Castle and Bones are returning already!
As for this Sunday, Evan Almighty will air in Sydney and Brisbane, while other states will have the premiere of Knocked Up starring Katherine Heigl. Strangely, I didn’t see any promo for the movie on Seven.

  11. “This Sunday night it has a movie: Evan Almighty”.

do you mean next sunday, i have seen ads for the pacifier and knocked up.

i think 7 would be better off holding bones/castle. and just keep movies on sundays.

  12. Don’t forget The Pacifier on at 6:30pm next Sunday, another movie Lauren Graham is in! 2 movies on the one night so cool!

The new season of Bones and Castle are good, it’s great Seven is kinda fast tracking them before the end of the year.

Maybe Seven is trying the sure up some nights to stop Nine winning the week?
