1. It’s only one repeat of each show that’s hardly flogging it to death. I missed it first time around and enjoyed watching it in it’s original slot. Really looking forward to Hey Hey in 2010.

  2. ha,ha crap ratings for the hey, hey repeat on Saturday – good. The Last Samurai would have rated alot better.

And they are flogging it to death. I was into the re-union after it aired, now with all the “encores” it has mad me hate it.

  3. Agree with Bette’s line up for Ten Fri and Sat. Would do much better. I really think it is time the commercials rethink the idea of movies on these nights as well. If they were playing new to free to air movies then the story may be different.

  4. why is there so much negative sentiment towards 7pm Project? Granted it is not performing the sort of figures that it would like, but other than a very competitive slot (ABC news, Home & away, 1& a half dorks) it is offering something the others are not – a different format, genuinely trying to mix up news, comment, issues, comedy and water cooler viewpoints. If Ten replaced it with reruns of futuruma or simpsons or seinfeld of god help us the nanny, darma & greg – the knives would be out. It ain’t perfect, but in a culture still feeling the need to fill itself with americana and british period & crime thrillers, we could foster Australian talent, issues and voices – i think it should be applauded, not derided at any opportunity. It still has its problems, but many shows need time. Having worked in television, and in live broadcast, to produce 5 half hours a week live is not small feat. I am not a Rove fan or affiliate.

  5. Nine aren’t “flogging” hey hey it’s just the one repeat of show 2. And the horse is very much alive! I’m glad they edited out the bit with Harry at the end but a small edit was also made at the very beginning that I found curious, anyone know what it was??

  6. Weekend Today jumped by 97,000 viewers from last week and soundly beating Saturday Disney. This could mean the end of cartoons on early Saturday mornings as we know it.

  7. Another low rating night last night – giving the ABC a rare win!

But Nine/GO! win the week – thanks to 10 episodes of 2.5 men!

I enjoy the 7pm Project – but viewers prefer unfunny American sitcoms instead.

As for Fridays and Saturdays – TEN should try the following;-

    Friday – 7.30pm – 90210, 8:30pm Melrose Place, 9:30pm Supernatural
    Saturday – 6:30pm – Monk, 7:30 pm – Smallville , 8:30pm Psych, 9:30pm Law and Order 10:30 Dexter

  8. I have read comments about running The Office at 7pm on Ch. 10 since this site launched. When will the programming department finally give it a shot? Surely it can’t do worse than 7pm Project or the other experiments. I know of people of all demos that love The Office, especially 16 – 39 or whatever that one is, so not only do they have a good shot at getting the total viewers victory, they can also get that key demo aswell.

90210 and Melrose is worth a shot on Fridays too, as is running a Glee replay before Idol. That’ll be a much better lead in on Sundays.

  9. I was going to mention that I thought The 7pm Project would quite possibly pull under 500k for the first time on Friday given ratings have been down this week. Who’s bright idea was it to get Charlotte Dawson in as a guest panelist. It looks like Ten have decided to experiment with it as Andrew Günsberg is hosting all next week while Charlie Pickering is apparently on holidays. If the ratings somehow pick up next week I think this could be permanent.

  10. 7pm project down to 493,000

wow can anyone remember has there ever been a lower rating show at 7pm?

Whats ten waiting for? Take it out of its misery!

  11. Whoa!! A gigantic flop for TEN. I really wish they would play charmed again, that was my favourtie show in the world. And i cant believe they axed charmed and put it at 12 noon, why dont they do that to all the other crap show, stupid TEN.

  12. Channel 9 are a disgrace.

Take The Last Samurai off for put that friggen Hy Hey repeat on Again. What is it now the 4th repeat of this show. It is old news. Why not show the final of the Footy Show, or repeats of the best of Steve Vizard show: insert sarcasm.

Man, any goodwill Hey Hey may have built up, Channel 9 has just destroyed. I mean how insulting, how stupid and lacking for entertainment do they think we are. I honestly can imagine anyone watching this repeat again.

I didn’t mind the Hey Hey reunion but channel 9 has now made me despise it. Now it if does come back they have ****** me off enough to never watch it again.

  13. Spearman is over in a week or two anyway. Ten really need to come up with something different on Friday nights and re-engineer the night from the ground up. At 14.7% less say about 1% for ONE, they are almost half of ABC. Simpsons and 2 or 3 eps of Law and Order was doing better earlier this year.

  14. As for 7pm, its had more than enough of a chance. Why not broadcast The Daily Show in an edited format? It’d be worth a shot. And its obvious to everyone except Ten’s programming execs that reruns of The Office would be a better idea over the summer. The show is contracted to run through until season 7, and they have 100 episodes they could rerun. It has the potential to become what Scrubs and 2.5 men became for Seven and Nine, if they would give it a chance.

What will Ten replace Neighbours with over summer? Another shot at Bold and the Beautiful? More aborted Bondi Rescue reruns? Jamie Oliver specials? The cupboard seems awfully bare.

  15. Spearman will be pulled soon…beaten by BH&G by almost 800k. That’s quite a defeat.

And is that the lowest share Ten have had this year? Absolutely shocking. They may as well bring back 90210 and Melrose Place as a double, I can guarantee they will pull more than 400k and would do better in the demos than crappy decades-old movies. Or why not revive Smallville and pair it with the new season of Supernatural like the CW? They need to make a change and foreign versions of SYTYCD and TBL are not the answer.

  16. wow, friday night isn’t a good night for ten is it?
they got absolutely smashed by ABC – 23.2 vs 14.7 – TEN.
and 7pm project only got 493k! thats really poor – i dont know how they are going to lift its ratings next year, viewers have lost all confidence in the show, and i dont see myself tuning in until there is a change in hosts and format. everything is too rushed – maybe a 1hour show would be better?

  17. lol, check out the numbers for 7pm project! totally shocking, ten’s fridays suck major! i would put on fridays guerilla gardners at 7.30 and at 8.30 show movies then at 10 pm or 10.30 show a new season of law and order

  18. After a decent Love Actually-bolstered Friday last week, it’s all gone down the toilet this Friday for Ten. Awful doesn’t even begin to describe the ratings of 7PM, Neighbours, Spearman and the movie.

  19. I think 6pm news is down across all stations this week, any thoughts out there? Although there wasn’t really any interesting to report this week other than Don Lane’s death.
