23 year old Victorian real estate auctioneer Andrew ‘Morello’ has won The Apprentice Australia.
He defeated Heather for the inaugural title of the Nine reality series.
Third place-getter Gavin was eliminated following a dinner with boss Mark Bouris.
Both finalists had to draw teams from their former colleagues for a final challenge with the launch of a new men’s fragrance including name, bottle, TV ad and magazine campaign.
Heather settled on ‘Alpha Male’ fragrance, Morello chose a gangster theme named ‘Clyde.’ While Morello’s choices showed a lot of risk, Heather played it safe and simple.
Bouris seemed to accept that while Morello was best at managing people, Heather was stronger at completing a task.
In winning the Australian adaptation of the US series Morello lands a $200,00 package as Head of Business Development for wealth advisory company Yellow Brick Road with a 12 month contract.

I’m glad Morello won but then I couldn’ t really decide I liked both.
Great show.
NIne is usually late, as much as 16 minutes in one show. Very unprofessional, but they what would expect?
The man with the big ego choose an overweight, badly dressed sweaty real estate agent?? You got to be kidding
And really Matt, you’ve only got yourself to blame if you visit a TV news website Before a winner of a show you are watching is announced, whether it is on delay or you are still yet to watch it on tape.
I was a fan of the original Trump series, and didn’t really want to give this a chance after the first episode after seeing the fake boardroom, and the fake receptionist pretending to type onto the computer desktop screen… anywho, I’m glad I stuck with it as I enjoyed it more as the weeks went on. Here’s to a second series next year depending on tonights figures…
I can’t believe people still aren’t getting the spoiler thing.
If you aren’t in the Eastern States and don’t want television shows ruined for you, Don’t Come Online and specifically don’t come to a TV news site.
And most of all, don’t complain about it.
Keep on trucking with the site David, it’s brilliant.
gee… thanks… had to post that up – spesh with the fix and title for all the west aussie viewers… arggggg :/
wow … kinda surprised by morello of the three … but nowhere near as surprised as sabrina’s answer to “so, who do think should win?” lol … aaargh!!! hat with that girl?!
Great end to a pretty good show! 🙂 I could really do without the Masterchef/Biggest Loser like pauses and recaps at the return from every break though :S
Woo hoo! Morello all the way! Love the show, bring on series 2!
Morello for the win! great ep tonight, really enjoyed the challenge.
I have to say that the quality of this show was very impressive. Nine got something right for a change. They must have a second series, but play it bloody earlier this time.
Morello totally deserved it. A great ending to a fantastic show. I was skeptical at first but nine have done an amazing job with this show. Their best show of the year hands down.
Cracker of an episode tonight & the right result. The Apprentice was a fantastic show. My family loved every minute of it. Can’t wait for next year!
Haven’t watched the show but to me he deserved to win “Alpha Male” was very cliched while “Clyde” seemed like an original idea to me.
Happy to hear that Morello won, but how ridiculous is it that Channel Nine can’t keep their programming on schedule. I missed the end as well. I feel like I’m living in a third world country. Get with the program!
Thought it was great…………would love to be a part of ot. Is there going to be another series in 2010? If yes, when are the auditions?
I totally agree about the logo Peter!!! Why not just put it in the middle of the screen channel 9 and be done with it!! Again so tacky.
Summary: I think heather does a great job in the end & is more professional than morello but how long could you seriously work with her. She’s just not a team player so she has to work alone, what’s the point! morello is so the opposite but in time (remember how young he is!) he will be more polished & professional but he will have both people & business skills, heather can’t change & become a people person, although a great worker it was a good choice mr bouris !!
I picked Morello from the very first episode. He was just the stand-out and performed the best pretty much every week. Heather was good, but I think in the end Morello probably had this in the bag.
Overall a great season and I really enjoyed it. Hope there’s going to be a second season 😀
We taped it to watch later & of course missed the most important part, the end because channel 9 can’t keep to their timetable! How annoying to say the very least I’m sure another channel can do a better job as they seem to be seriously slacking off! What is their issue with time??? So tacky. Ruined our night.
a rather low key ending announcement. after all these weeks i was expecting something a bit more spectacular.
Booo! Heather was way better 🙁 Oh well.
i would’ve bought Heathers product, just seems more high end while Morello’s was more childish.
that stupid olympic logo is huge!! and with 9’s watermark already being too far from the edge of the screen, it has to be the most distracting thing ever!
Awesome that Morello one – I would have chosen him as well had I been Bouris.
Is there going to be a second series? The show didn’t have flash ratings but I think a second one could potentially do very well.
nine’s promo gave away the answer!!
