The Farmer wants an engagement

The Farmer Wants a Wife has another validation for its existence with a third couple getting hitched.

bradThe Farmer Wants a Wife has another validation for its existence with news that two more contestants are getting engaged.

Farmer Brad Crane, who appeared in the last series, proposed to Stacie over takeaway fish and chips on a beach, and sure enough she has said ‘Yes.’

Crane, 29 from Lithgow, says he only went on the show for a bit of fun.

“I didn’t think there would be much chance of finding a bloody wife on national television. I still can’t believe my luck,” he said.

But it’s good news for the Nine dating show, which notches up another likely wedding and delivers the show a better outcome than Farmer Gavin who recently split from Rebecca Davis.

Chris Newsome and Kim Tierney from Series 1 married in 2007 and had their first child this year, while
Series Two’s farmer Rob Hodge is engaged to Jo Fincham.

Plenty of other reality shows that promise Australia’s most perfect this or that seem to have no resonance beyond their end point. Small victories like this help justify their purpose.

The search for participants for Series Five has begun.

  1. Brad and Stacie, you could tell from the first show they where meant to be together. Congratulations on your engagement and a long and happy life together.
Love the show, have watched every episode.

  2. @ Paul – I agree. I did actually watch it and it’s nice to see some reality shows end with a positive result. They were a realistic couple and looked so happy 🙂
