The ABC’s most popular show Spicks and Specks returns on Wednesday, February 3, 8.30pm on ABC1.
Alan Brough and Myf Warhurst again join Adam Hills for another year of music trivia, songs, celebrity guests and entertaining company..
Favourite games are back including Know Your Product; Please, Please Tell Me Now; Substitute and The Final Countdown.
Last year it nabbed audiences of more than 1.3 million viewers.
With figures like that, the show continues to dog commercial broadcasters who usually have their eye on other rivals.

Yay!
It’s good to have “Spicks & Specks” back.
Im sorry but i never watch this show unless hamish is on it..
Great news, and hopefully no Hamish this year….
I imagine they’ll have more themed shows this year, to mix things up a bit. My favourite theme they’ve had was NZ vs AU, so I am hoping they’re planning to bring that back for another go.
I hope they introduce a few new games, too.
I’m with Mikey and Ducko. Love the show but new ones start to feel like repeats a bit too often.
Last year they did have some terrific guests – I Loved seeing Guy Garvey of Elbow. Thanks for that one! 🙂
Bre Saxs, I’d imagine it would it be something to do with music rights.
I agree mikeys. I like this program but it is starting to get a bit repetitive.
Memo ABC: Change things around or risk becoming a stale product.
It’s fantastic news to have Spicks and Specks back for another year, but how many times this year will Hamish appear? They might as well have a third team and have Hamish as team captain, he is on that often. Seriously though I don’t mind Hamish. He is quite funny, it’s just that him being on is preventing someone else from appearing that either hasn’t been on that often or at all.
There has to be a particular reason why Spicks and Spicks isn’t available on the ABC’s iView service?
