Former Kids TV regular on child porn charge

A former Queensland Police officer who was known in the 1980s as “Constable Dave” on children’s TV show Wombat has appeared in a Brisbane Court charged with allegedly possessing child pornography.

In the 1980s, Dave Moore appeared on more than 30 television stations, including alongside Agro, and regularly warned of stranger danger.

Outside the Court today, he told awaiting media, “I think … the court system is fair and just and whatever, and I am happy to just continue with the legal system.”

Magistrate Judy Daley granted bail and ordered him to stand trial in the Brisbane District Court on a date to be fixed.
