‘Slap My Elbow’

Could 'Slap My Elbow' be the next big song from Chris Lilley's upcoming series?

Filming continues on Chris Lilley’s Angry Boys series, the follow up to Summer Heights High (pictured).

The comedy is already one of the most anticipated new shows of 2011, in which he explores ‘what it means to be a 21st century boy by putting the male of the species under the microscope.’

Last week producers filmed a rap dancing trio at Highpoint Shopping Centre in Melbourne.

A song and dance number called ‘Slap My Elbow’ was performed to a huge crowd, evidence of the group’s booming popularity within the series.

16 year old contemporary dancer Nobel Lakaev, a grand finalist in the 2009 series of Australia’s Got Talent has also landed a role in the series.

The joint ABC / HBO / BBC series is expected to continue filming until March.

  1. Watched them filming the show today outside my place the crew closed the street from 8.30am til 12.30 filmed an angry scene between a group of surfer dudes and a group of other kids, apperently they filmed a fight scene at the Torquay (vic) hotel last night. Strange though if they are filming the show in Vic why were they only allowing NSW reg cars in the street. They changed the number plates on all the parked cars to NSW.And changed the names on all the shops as well.
