Apparently Ellen DeGeneres has now picked up on a rather fetching moment recently on the Today show when Karl and Lisa played Winter Olympics sports on a Wii.
If you haven’t seen it, the The 7PM Project recently spotted it, as you can see by this clip.

But the game’s not Wii Fit Olympics, it’s Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympics (Vancouver Olympics with Mario and Sonic characters).

This morning on Today they showed the clip of Ellen laughing at them, it was pretty funny.

At least, this has proven Today to be not a one hit wonder, not like the single thing Sunrise did that became viral, i.e. The Chaser’s “Divorce Me” segment.
that what i like about Today…they have gone from a stuffy serious news breakfast show , to something that can take the pi** out of them selves awesome stuff guys…and dont worry they can turn the seriousness on at a drop of a hat

Poor Ch 9 & the ‘Today Show’, it seems that they have become the source of jokes that American shows & comedians can use. the last time this happened was when Richard Wilkins thought Jeff Goldblum ‘died’ in NZ, only Stephen Colbert had Jeff Goldblum on his show to spoof Richard Wilkins.

Attack Of The Show also screened it on G4. Their hosts and audience peed themselves laughing and the male host was dry humping the female host when they came back from the Today Show video.
I saw that when it aired. LMAO at the time, and did again just then. It was a bit post-modern though, as I watched the youtube clip here, channel Nine morning news showed a story on Ellen watching the clip. Talk about weird coincidence.
